Where to wear an owl brooch
A coat lapel is the obvious spot. You fasten through the lapel facing alone, so the hold stays firm, and the structured edge keeps the brooch upright at chest height. Scarves and shawls are the other natural home, since fine wool and silk are exactly what a pin ruins. Bag canvas works too, flat and soft under the fastening, and a gold owl on a black tote is hard to miss. Looking after a magnetic brooch
