A black winter headband with a long, fluffy pile and a soft twist crossing the front. It covers the ears without pinching, and goes on in seconds.
The band is 10 cm across. Black this plain works with a bright coat as easily as with a dark parka.
Ten centimetres is the width at which a band sits over the top of the ear instead of resting on it. Pull it low on the forehead and the wind stays off your ears. There is one stretchy size, which holds without digging in.
The knit is acrylic, with a long pile that catches the light instead of lying flat. Two panels cross over each other above the forehead to form a soft twist, the "bow" in the name. That twist lifts the front slightly and keeps hair off the face. If you would rather have a knitted or a bouclé version, they are all in our hair band range.
Behind the twist, the band stays smooth and even. Nothing bunches up when a hood or a coat collar goes over it.

Black is the safe choice here: it reads as deliberate against a camel coat and disappears into a black roll-neck. With hair down, it holds the top section back; over a low ponytail, it tidies the hairline. No pins needed. The knit is soft and light, so the headband squashes flat and slips into a coat pocket the moment you step inside.
