An openwork heart ring in silver-toned steel

Hearts of uneven size follow one another around the ring, joined by fine silver-toned lines. The shapes are pierced right through, so light passes behind them and the motif still reads at arm's length. The whole piece is cut from stainless steel with a silver-toned finish.

A line of set stones crossing the hearts

A second strip, smooth this time, crosses the hearts on the upper side of the ring. It carries small round clear rhinestones set in a continuous line, and the two cross to give the ring its depth. Sparkle stays confined to that strip. The pierced hearts keep everything else light.

Which of the sizes 17, 18 and 20 should you take?

The ring is offered in sizes 17, 18 and 20, subject to availability. Its band is closed, so it cannot be eased open or pressed tighter. Take a ring you already wear, measure its inside diameter, then read that measurement against the three sizes above. The rest of the range sits in our fashion rings for women.

On a bare hand or beside a plain ring

A bare hand shows the cut-outs best. If you prefer to stack, keep the neighbouring ring narrow and plain so the hearts stay readable. It also sits well on the index or middle finger, where a wider profile has room.

Hand cream, soap and the stone settings

Rings pick up hand cream and soap film faster than any other piece of jewellery, and stones that have gone dull are usually just filmed over. A soft dry cloth passed over the settings once a week brings the shine back. Take the ring off before washing up so the settings stay dry.
