Magnetic turtle brooches in enamel and silver-tone metal
Every turtle here is a sea turtle: flippers out, head raised, shell divided into decorated plates. None of them uses a pin. A magnet sits behind the cloth, the turtle sits in front, and the fabric stays intact. They stand between 4.5 cm and 6 cm tall, in engraved enamel or in silver-tone metal.

How the magnetic fastening behaves
The brooch comes in two parts. You slide the small magnetic plate behind the fabric, place the turtle on top, and they meet through the cloth. Nothing pierces the weave, so silk, fine knitwear and lined wool all work, and no pinhole is left behind when you move it. Repositioning takes a second. On heavy coat fabric, press both parts together and check the hold before you leave the house.
Reading the shell: enamel or silver-tone metal
The shell is where these turtles differ. The enamelled ones carry hexagonal plates, each engraved with a small flower and outlined by a pale rim. One keeps to grey, white and gold, staying quiet on a dark jacket; the other runs through pink, blue, almond green, violet and coral, and is visible across a room. The silver-tone model works the other way round, with a black and white lacquered mosaic set into polished metal and finely textured flippers.

Where to wear a turtle brooch
A lapel is the obvious spot: wear it high and slightly off-centre. A plain scarf carries the pastel shell well, since the brooch then becomes the only colour in the outfit; the silver-tone turtle reads better against a dark collar or on the strap of a canvas bag. If other creatures appeal, you will find brooches shaped like cats, birds and elephants in the wider animal range.
Looking after the enamel
A dry cloth is enough for both the enamel and the metal. Store each turtle flat in its own pouch, away from bank cards and screens, since magnets can interfere with them. The engraved plates are more vulnerable to knocks than to everyday wear, so keep them clear of keys and clasps. Anyone drawn to the sea theme can move on to our brooches shaped like fish.
