It goes on over your hand, and that's the whole trick

This red elastic watch isn't one you fasten. The bracelet is a run of small curved links, all the same width, sitting tight against each other until you pull. Stretch it, slide your hand through, and it draws back around your wrist. That's an expanding bracelet with no clasp, and it matters more than it sounds if you take your watch off at the sink, at the gym or every time you sit down to type.

A dial with nothing written on it

The face is a plain red dial, no numerals, no applied markers. The minute track runs around the flange instead, in fine printed strokes, right under the glass. Two black hands and a slimmer seconds hand do the rest. The round case is silver-toned, 38 mm across, with a red tip on the crown at three o'clock.

Where the red actually lands

This is a bright, glossy red, identical on the dial and on the links, so the whole watch reads as one block of colour rather than a red face on a neutral band.
