A small pink clasp purse of 8.5 × 6 × 5 cm, printed with a girl in a daisy hat on the front and a run of street lamps on the back. The metal frame and its short chain both take a bronze finish.
Coins, folded notes and the small things that sink to the bottom of a bag: a locker key, a few hair grips, a receipt worth keeping. The metal frame snaps shut with two ball catches. At 8.5 × 6 × 5 cm it slips into a coat pocket, and the short chain ends in a ring, so it can hang from a bag strap rather than vanish inside the bag.
When cards and notes need sections of their own, our larger formats with several pockets are the better fit.
The front panel is soft pink. A dark-haired girl holds a small camera at cheek height, a purple hat tipped over her fringe, white daisies pinned to the brim. Behind her, columns of printed text, bicycles and early motor cars fill the background like a scrapbook page.
No figure on the back. A repeat print takes over instead: twin street lamps on scrolled brackets, a bird settled on one of them, facades and lines of handwriting drifting across the pink. The side panels differ too, one plain grey, the other in woven cream.
