Khaki puffer handbag: two short handles, one clip-off strap

The two short webbing handles are a warm mid-brown, a shade lighter than the body of the bag, and stitched loops hold them along the top edge. They put the bag in your hand or over your forearm. The longer strap is the same webbing, cut wider, and it hooks onto a ring at each side, so it comes off on the days you would rather carry the bag short.

Adjusting the strap, or taking it off

Each end of the strap finishes in a silver-toned clip, and a rectangular metal slide shortens or lengthens it. It will sit at shoulder height or across the body, depending on where you stop the slide. The clips and the slide are the only metal on the outside, so the hardware reads as a small detail rather than as trim.

A wide, soft shape at 36 cm across

Padding lifts the front into rounded panels wherever the chevron seams pull it in: one seam draws a V near the top, a second repeats the angle lower down, and a vertical line joins the two at the centre. The stitching stays tonal, so the pattern shows in raking light rather than by contrast. The bag is wider than it is tall, the base curves, and both of those change how it settles against you. Set it against the quilted and flat-fronted styles on the same shelf and the difference is obvious.

The plaque and the raised lettering

The openwork plaque is a small khaki-green rectangle with a beaded border, and its scrollwork lets the material behind show through. To its right, “Try different” is pressed into the fabric in the bag's own colour, quiet enough that you register the texture before the words.
