The word that runs off the edge

Along the bottom of the front, a narrow printed band carries the words I Lovely, a small paw print, and then Love again, this last one cut in half where the band meets the seam. The lettering was not shrunk to fit inside the band, so it reads as something that carries on past the object rather than a label centred on it. A printed band reading I Lovely is the only part of the front that is printed rather than drawn.

Three panels open out flat, and there are four card slots, two per panel on the left and middle ones. The third has no slots at all, and that is where the clear window sits, held shut by a round press stud. Putting the window on the empty panel means a travel card or a photo faces you on its own, with nothing stacked behind it.

Where the thickness sits

Folded, this is not a wallet that thickens at the spine. The three layers stack towards the middle, and the frame at the top adds its own depth, so the bulk ends up in the centre of the closed shape rather than along one edge. That is worth knowing if you tend to slide a wallet into a narrow front pocket of a bag.

Cool outside, warm inside

The outside is a matte, grained lilac, a tone that sits on the cool side. The lining is a dusty pink with a good deal more warmth in it. The two meet only at the folded edges and at a thin piping that shows under the frame, and because neither is trying to be the other, the join stays visible instead of blurring. Turned over, it stops being a cat wallet

The back carries no print at all. Same lilac, same grain, the perimeter stitching running round and nothing else, so the wallet reads as plain the moment you flip it. It is a useful thing on a piece this graphic: face up on a café table it is a cat, face down it is just a small lilac rectangle.
