    Two textures on one compact wallet: woven canvas and a grained silver-tone finish

    Two materials meet halfway up the wallet. Below, beige canvas with a close weave that catches the light without shining. Above, a flap cut from a grained silver-tone material, the grain running evenly across it. A strap slips through a small metal buckle to hold the two together. The back is plain, edged by the zip and its silver-tone pull.

    Small enough to forget about once it's in your bag

    It drops into the inside pocket of a handbag or a small cross-body bag without a fight. A zip right round the wallet means that, once you have pulled the zip shut, nothing shifts about, even at the bottom of a full bag. This is the size you keep when you want to lighten your bag rather than change it.

    What the concertina interior holds

    Open the wallet up and it fans out into gussets: the card slots stagger one behind the other, and you can pick one out at a glance. A zipped pocket in the centre keeps coins away from the rest. Lift the flap and you find further slots in a row, plus a framed panel in the brown-and-white geometric print that runs right through the interior. Against the pale exterior, the print reads clearly.

    A pale beige that sits well with the bags you already carry

    Beige and silver tones go with a camel, black or ecru bag, and the metal buckle picks up the hardware on a chain-strap bag. If you would rather have a longer, travel-style wallet or a different opening, you will find other flap-front wallets in the range.

    You may prefer to keep coins out of the wallet altogether. In that case, a separate coin purse can travel in the same bag, and the card slots stay flat.
