This 120 x 120 cm square scarf takes the bandana-scarf vocabulary scaled up to a daily-wear format and translates it into the indigo blue palette that connects two centuries of Indian Jaipur block-print tradition to the modern denim-and-white wardrobe of the 2020s. The deep indigo viscose ground is printed with ethnic motifs that echo the Sanganer and Bagru hand-block printing of Rajasthan: a central panel of diamond-and-dot rosettes (the block-print medallion translated into gold metallic ink and ivory), an outer frame of paisley scrolls and small floral medallions (the standard Liberty-archive vocabulary re-rendered for the indigo ground), four striped gold borders that frame the whole composition, and hand-knotted blue and gold corner tassels.
