No, this is a screen-printed and metallic-print reproduction of the Jaipur block-print visual vocabulary, not an authentic hand-block-printed scarf made in Rajasthan. The diamond rosettes, paisley scrolls and striped borders are designed to echo the look of Sanganer and Bagru hand-printing, but the technique is mechanical printing on viscose for the price point and the care instructions of a daily-wear scarf.
Does indigo bleed on first wash?
The indigo on this viscose is colourfast (printed not dyed in the traditional resist-dye sense), so it should not bleed in a delicate cold wash inside a mesh bag. As with any deep blue printed fabric, wash separately for the first one or two washes as a precaution, and avoid hot water and bleach which can shift the print.
