One bag, two ways to carry it

The short handles are the obvious choice: they sit over the forearm and keep the decorated panel facing outwards. When you need both hands, the woven strap clips onto the gold rings at either side and the bag drops to hip height. The strap comes off completely, so it is a fitting, not a fixed part of the bag.

If you want a different strap

Because the strap clips on rather than being stitched in place, another woven strap can take its place, which is an inexpensive way to change the look of a bag you already own. Mode Tendance keeps the printed webbing straps stocked separately for that purpose.

What a multicolored glitter patchwork handbag looks like up close

Four squares across, three rows down, twelve in total, and none of them repeats. Top row: fine white glitter, smooth gold metallic, emerald green sparkle, and a raised black-and-white check. Where the cream canvas takes over

The decoration is a front panel and nothing more. A broad band of plain cream canvas runs around it, continues up into both handles, and wraps the sides and the base, where the weave turns visibly textured. The bag reads as plain from the side, which is what stops twelve patterns from becoming noise.

35 x 30 cm, and what fits

Thirty-five centimeters wide by thirty tall makes this a day bag rather than a work bag. A notebook, a pouch and a water bottle go in without the sides bowing, and the gusset visible in the second photograph gives the base real depth. The capacity comes from the width, not from a height that would leave the bag swinging against your hip.

Living with sequins and metallic panels

Glitter and metallic surfaces dislike two things: repeated rubbing and damp. Wipe the squares with a barely damp soft cloth, pressing rather than scrubbing, and store the bag flat and out of direct sun so the cream stays cream. The seams between the squares are the weak point and should be kept dry. If that sounds like more upkeep than you want, the aisle with the plainer two-handle shapes is the easier place to look.
