Navy blue silicone watch with a 39 mm case

The case measures 39 mm across, so this one reads as a statement piece rather than a discreet little dial. The strap is moulded in silicone segments, flexible on the wrist without looking like sports kit. Navy carries on from the strap up onto the bezel, where the minute markers are printed in white.

Reading the white dial at a glance

The dial stays plain white, with oversized numerals around the edge and slim silver-toned hands. Three small counters sit in the middle of it, and the ERNEST name is printed just below twelve. A spare battery comes in the box.

Wearing navy instead of black

Navy does much of what black does, only softer, which is why it sits happily against denim, a camel coat or a plain white shirt. If you would rather pick a brighter shade, look through the rest of the silicone line-up.

If the silicone has got damp, leave it to dry in the open air before putting the watch away, and wipe the case with a soft cloth. Fabric behaves differently again, so have a look at the watches on a textile strap if that suits you better. Never lever the case back open with whatever is to hand.
