A thick front, thin wire temples

Two builds, one hinge: the two halves of this pair meet there and have almost nothing in common. In front, a broad square panel with softened corners holds both lenses and carries the colour scheme. Behind it, each temple is a plain metal rod in the same warm tone, straight for most of its length, that drops into a black tip at the ear. The join stays visible: a small gold-coloured hinge set into the panel.

That contrast is the whole effect. The front gives the pair its presence; the narrow temples leave the sides open, so the frame stays square, not wraparound.
