A see-through frame in soft turquoise, moulded with facets across the whole front, so the colour shifts as the light moves. Slim gold-tone temples run back to translucent tips in the same shade.
The lenses are plain and clear. Wear these for the frame, the way you would wear a bold pair of earrings.
The front is moulded in clear turquoise plastic, cut with uneven facets that catch the light rather like pressed glass. Under a bright bulb, the colour reads as a strong pool blue; in daylight it drops back to a pale sea green. The shape is generous, lifted very slightly at the outer corners, and the solid bridge carries the same faceted pattern across the middle.
The temples are thin gold-tone metal, hinged in the same finish. They end in translucent tips that pick up the turquoise of the front, so the colour doesn't stop abruptly behind the ear. Seen side-on, the pair stays light: the front holds the volume, the temples barely register.
| Front, folded | Full width of the faceted turquoise front, temples tucked behind |
|---|---|
| Front, open | Bridge and rim pattern, gold hinges at both corners |
| Three-quarter, from behind | Inside of the front and the length of the temples |
| Side profile | Plain, untinted lenses and the curved tip |
Clear turquoise sits happily with white, stone and raw denim, and it lifts a navy jumper or a printed blouse. The colour is already doing the work, so keep earrings small. If you want more colour on the face, browse the rest of the frames we stock, or finish the look from our women's accessories.
Facets hold fingerprints more readily than the metal of the temples. A dry wipe through the grooves and a hard case in the bag are enough to keep that cut-glass look.
